2022 Report

Our 2022 report with the University of Toronto reveals critical gaps in infrastructure that serve Toronto’s Black communities. The proposed SCCR centre is a direct response to these needs.

Addressing Today's Challenges with Tomorrow's Solutions

Our future hub is designed to solve real and pressing challenges faced by our community, particularly those affecting Toronto’s Black and minority communities. Through targeted programs and inclusive spaces, we aim to bridge gaps in social infrastructure and offer a foundation for future growth.

Location and Accessibility

Located to be easily accessible by community and in area of high-need, while also accessible through public transit.

Functional Programming and Design

Our facilities will adapt to community needs, hosting everything from health services to educational workshops.

Preservation of Culture and Heritage

Dedicated spaces for cultural retention that allow communities to celebrate and pass on their unique traditions.

Incorporating green spaces and sustainable building practices that respect both the environment and our cultural values.
